About Lamar Pickard

Lamar Pickard has earned a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable champions of the law in the state of Mississippi. As the longest-standing Circuit Judge in the history of Copiah County, Mr. Pickard served for 24 years as the 22nd Circuit Court District. Today, Mr. Pickard’s experience and knowledge of the long helps his clients get the settlements they deserve.

Mr. Pickard is a graduate of Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi School of Law. He was elected Circuit Judge in 1994 and began serving in January of 1995. Prior to serving as Circuit Judge, he maintained a private practice in Hazlehurst. And he has now re-opened his practice to continue to serve and guide clients in the area of personal injury, 18-wheeler accidents, car accidents, products liability, motorcycle accidents, and wrongful death. Mr. Pickard is also now serves as a certified mediator for the State of Mississippi.

Mr. Pickard also serves as a senior judge for the state of Mississippi, overseeing cases given to him through special appointment by the Supreme Court of Mississippi.

He and his, wife, Marsha, have made Copiah County their home for nearly 40 years now.

They have four children and five grandchildren. Lamar and Marsha are members of First Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.
